With the League of Legends preseason well under way, players are wondering when the new season will fully start. According to the League of Legends in game menu, the 2021 season will start Jan. 8, 2021. That being said, there is still plenty of time for updates and changes to the game.

For example, Rell, the newest champion, has not been released yet. Riot Games will be watching her results closely to adjust this champion how they see fit. Patch 10.25 is also focused on buffing champions that don't get a lot of use, such as Anivia, Warwick, and Rengar.

When Does the League of Legends Preseason 2021 End?

With roughly over month remaining before the planned start of the 2021 season, it's hard to expect what changes Riot Games will make. Since the end of the 2020 season, Riot Games has released 4 new champions, including Rell. It's not out of the question for Riot to take a second look at their newest additions to make sure they play the way the developers intended.

That's all assuming Riot even wants to make changes. After the release of Patch 10.25, Riot may not patch the game until the start of the season. Either way, League of Legends players and fans eagerly wait in anticipation.
