So the number one reason players have reported this issue is due to chat bans in other Riot games like League of Legends. Bans from other Riot games carry over to Valorant, so if you were a little too liberal with your insults and "criticism" in chat in League, you're banned from chat in Valorant too. If this is the case there isn't really anything you can do to fix the issue, but I guess it serves you right for being toxic.

If you've looked deep into your heart and found that you are not a toxic League player, or just haven't been banned for it, the old tried and true turn it off and on again should fix it. It might be annoying to do if you get the error often but it's not the end of the world. Just reset the game and everything should start working again if you aren't banned.
