The Three Shires Inn is a hotel, restaurant and public bar in Little Langdale. It is named after the historic boundary of the old counties of Lancashire, Cumberland and Westmorland, located nearby at the top of Wrynose Pass and marked by the Three Shires Stone. The boundaries changed in 1974 when the counties of CumberlandWestmorland and parts of Lancashire and parts of the West Riding of Yorkshire were combined to form Cumbria. The Three Shires Inn dates from the 18th Century and is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
