Hollywood Medical Center recently was recognized as one of the country’s top 100 teaching hospitals.
The announcement was made by HCIA Inc. and Mercer Health Care Provider Consulting, two national health care consulting firms that surveyed hospitals nationwide.
“We feel very proud about the distinction,” says Elisa Dansky, a spokeswoman for the medical center. Dansky said the 324-bed medical center is a teaching hospital for podiatry residents, who come from affiliated universities and hospitals. It was selected in the category of teaching hospitals with 250 or more beds.
