A safe place to trick-or-treat! This old-fashioned Halloween event for families and children 12 and younger offers a full array of safe trick-or-treating, kiddie rides, games, arts and crafts and pony rides. For the 12th consecutive year, Yesteryear Village’s 20 historic buildings will come alive with costumed volunteers offering treats and big smiles to the little ones. Wear your costume and compete for prizes both Sundays. Join in scarecrow contests. Scavenger Hunt with special prizes on Oct. 19 and Oct. 25. Bring an appetite, as there will be food, drink and maybe even some witches’ potion. Check out the Spooky House! DJ live on both Saturday and Sunday. It’s a throwback to the traditional days of family Halloweens in a fun, secure and family friendly environment. A pet costume contest will take place on both Fridays, Oct. 18 and 25. Bring your costumed pet, and our team will register you. The contest begins at 6 p.m. with great prizes for three winners. Pets MUST be on a leash when entering the event. Please do not bring exotic pets or reptiles e.g. snakes, spiders, etc., that may scare the little ones.
