Risk of Rain 2 newt altar locations are important for players trying to figure out the answer. Newt altars look like dark blue rocks with light blue spikes that jet out of them. Not all of them have been found yet but there is some information on a good number of them.
To Finish the Newtist quest, you only need to find seven of the Newt Altars and give them lunar coins.

Risk of Rain 2: Newt Altar Locations
The first location is in Abandoned Aqueduct up on the side of a rock. This one might be tough reach because of its position off the ground.
There is another Newt Altar at in Abandoned Aqueduct at the mouth of the giant skeleton. The skeleton can be found on top of the mountains.
In the Abyssal Depths, there is a Newt Altar that is located on a glowing rock that will be above you when you see it. The trick to reaching this Altar location is to use the water geysers to get the height you need.
In the Titanic Plains, under a large curved pillar, there is a Newt Altar situated on a rock formation. The only hard part about reaching this location is the height of the Newt Altar.
