The PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Xbox Public Test Server release previously scheduled for Friday will be delayed until next week, according to a Reddit comment by a PUBG Corp employee.

The comment, posted by PUBG Xbox community manager Lumos, states that the PTS won't open at all this weekend because of problems in the PTS build that must be resolved before it goes live.

Xbox Players: Get ready to stack a whole lot of blue ammo boxes. This week's Event Mode, Sanhok Forty-Fivers, limits weapon spawns to Tommy Guns, Win94s, R45s, P1911s and throwables. Starting Oct 4!

PUBG Corp hadn't made an official announcement that the PTS would go live this weekend, but another community manager saidd Wednesday that a PTS of the next patch was expected to go live Friday if it passed quality assurance and certification.

PUBG Xbox reached its official 1.0 release Sept. 3, bringing new weapons and vehicles, weapon skins, and changes to the in-game rewards system. Since then, PUBG Corp has struggled to correctly award achievements to playersdelayed new content and rededicated itself to combating frame rate and desync problems on the platform.
