Randall Vitale has been named regional vice president of Hoffman’s Chocolates. Vitale was most recently senior vice president and Fort Lauderdale market executive for Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust. He will be responsible for overseeing and managing all of Hoffman’s Chocolates retail stores in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, corporate sales, online sales and its new mobile truck, The Sweet Ride. Vitale will also oversee marketing.

Nonprofit

Jason Mann has been named director of development at Habitat for Humanity of Broward, in Fort Lauderdale. Mann previously worked for Calvary Chapel Church in Fort Lauderdale where he held management roles including as ministry manager oversseing philanthropic programs.

NA’AMAT USA announced its new national board members for the coming year at its 90th birthday celebration in Las Vegas: Raena Zucker, southeast area national coordinator, Delray Beach; Rhoda Birnbaum, Delray Beach; Rebeca Yohai, Sunny Isles Beach; Deb Kohn, national treasurer, Delray Beach; and Harriet Green, national big gifts, Coral Gables.

Alexandra Villoch, president and publisher of the Miami Herald Media Company, and Robert Sanchez, chairman and CEO of Ryder System, INC. will lead the 2016-2017 United Way of Miami-Dade annual campaign, which features a varitey of workplace and communty fundraising events.

Jordana L. Jarjura has joined Gulf Building LLC as general councel, in Fort Lauderdale. Before joining Gulf, Jarjura’s legal practice focused on procurement, government contracts, land use, and local government regulation. In civic life, Jarjura is deputy vice-mayor of the City of Delray Beach, Chair of the South Central Regional Wastewater and Disposal Treatment Board, and a board member of the Palm Beach County Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Nick Russo has been appointed chief technology officer of Host.net in Boca Raton, a provider of cloud, managed infrastructure and network services.

Caicedo most recently was owner/president of Sasupe S.A Colombia/ Sasupe S.A Panama, an investment and real estate company. Previously, he was involved in the brokerage of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals, as ceo/partner, of Universal Scrap Management LLC in Lauderhill.

Afligo, a customer engagement company specializing in rebate, channel incentive and loyalty programs, announced that Tony Jones has joined as chief operating officer. Jones was most recently executive vice president of operations and services for Systemax’s North American Technology Group, an Omni-channel retailer, which included the TigerDirect, Circuit City and CompUSA brands. Steven Leeds joined Afligo as senior vice president, marketing. Leeds most recently was director of marketing for retail electronics companies; TigerDirect, CompUSA, and Circuit City. Michael Marston joined Afligo as director- digital and affiliate marketing. Most recently Marston was affiliate marketing manager at TigerDirect.

Education

Dr. Roger L. Yohe has joined Palm Beach State College as vice president for academic affairs, in Lake Worth, from Mesa Community College, where he was interim vice president of academic affairs for the last year. Prior to then, he was Mesa Community College’s dean of innovative learning for five years, with administrative oversight for the library, Center for Teaching and Learning and Enhancement Centers as well as MCC Online. Additionally, Charles Cross Jr. executive vice president of commercial banking for Seacoast National Bank, has been elected chair of the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees for 2016-2017.

Brian Sudduth, senior vice president of Miller Construction Co., has been appointed to the University of Florida M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management’s Advisory Council Executive Committee.

Community living

Doug Fennema has been appointed executive director at Covenant Village of Florida, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community operated by Covenant Retirement Communities, in Plantation. Fennema joined Covenant Retirement Communities five years ago as the director of facilities management at Covenant Village of Northbrook, a sister Covenant community located in Northbrook, Ill.

Health care, medical

Dr. Jay Peitzer has joined TrustBridge Health’s team of physicians, after spending more than 25 years with Vitas Health Care Corporation of Florida where he was the medical director-UCH inpatient unit, director of emergency services, medical director pediatric team and associate medical director. Peitzer also serves as chief medical officer for the South Florida Regional Disaster Medical Assistance Team FL5 and the State Medical Response Team 7. TrustBridge Health, which offers assistance for families facing any stage of illness, combines Hospice of Palm Beach County and Broward County and Hospice by the Sea, Focus Care Home Health, and Harbor Palliative Care.

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center named Howard Brown chief financial officer. Brown’s tenure with Tenet Healthcare, includes most recently as the CFO at North Shore Medical Center for the past three years. Prior to that, he worked as a financial controller at Tenet’s St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Christy Wise has joined the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center as emergency department director. Wise most recently was clinical manager of the emergency department at West Boca Medical Center, another Tenet hospital.
