Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale has named Sherelle Washington as its executive director of ambulatory care centers. Washington will oversee the hospital’s urgent care and imaging facilities as well as the development of new centers. Prior to joining Holy Cross, Washington was administrator of two free-standing emergency departments for the HCA East Florida division. Washington has business development experience as a former regional director of outpatient services at Baptist Health South Florida. Before that, Washington was director of ambulatory care centers, including a free-standing emergency department, lab, imaging facility, rehabilitation center and pharmacy in Raleigh, N.C.

Dr. David Perloff, cardiologist at Broward Health Medical Center, was elected 2016 President of the Broward County Medical Association

Kae Jonsons joined Hanley Center Foundation as CEO in West Palm Beach. Jonsons was vice president of foundation development and donor relations at Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Jonsons’ past experience also includes roles at such nonprofit organizations as the Norton Museum, Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.

Jacob Frydman has partnered with Sanctuary Recovery Centers in Delray Beach to establish treatment programs for eating disorders and other addictions. Frydman opened his first residential treatment program 24 years ago in Boca Raton.

The Mandel Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beaches appointed Alan Feldman to CEO in West Palm Beach. Most recently, Feldman was CEO at JCC MetroWest in West Orange, N.J.

Real estate

Erik Lembcke, with First Republic Bank in Palm Beach, has been recognized nationally by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, as a recipient of the 2015 Developing Leaders Award. Lembcke, a member of NAIOP South Florida,. was one of 15 individuals nationally to receive NAIOP’s award. At First Republic Bank, Lembcke raises new assets under management through lending, banking and private wealth management. He directs a portfolio of high-net worth individuals and commercial clients as a relationship manager.

International

Miami Dade College President Eduardo J. Padrón was appointed Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco. In this role, Padrón will help provide services to the government of Morocco, which he will represent to U.S. citizens and organizations on related matters. Together with diplomatic missions, an honorary consul also promotes economic and cultural relations between nations. In addition, Padrón, who has worked for Miami Dade College for more than four decades, was recently honored with the 2015 Diverse Champions Award from “Diverse: Issues in Higher Education” magazine.

Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently appointed Ken Okaniwa as consul general of the consulate-general of Japan in Miami. Okaniwa joins the consulate from MOFA in Tokyo, where he was deputy director-general and deputy spokesman of foreign affairs.

TBC Corp. of West Palm Beach, marketers of automotive replacement tires, announced that Aaron C. Murphy joined the firm as vice president of commercial truck tire sales, responsible for the continued development of truck tire sales in the wholesale, retail, original equipment and national account channels. Murphy joins TBC from the China Manufacturers Alliance, where, as vice president, he oversaw North American sales, marketing and operations. Before that, he was vice president of commercial products for Del-Nat Tire Corp. and a territory manager for Bridgestone-Firestone.

Howard Appell has been appointed to the board of directors of the Gold Coast Tiger Bay Club. Appel is the founder, publisher, CEO of Today’s Restaurant News Inc., a tabloid-style newspaper for the restaurant industry in Florida. Appel launched the publication, when, while working in 1996 in the restaurant industry as a manufacturers’ rep in Florida, he recognized the need for a method for suppliers to reach their restaurant customers with advertising and information.

John Ray III, president and CEO of Sonitrol of Fort Lauderdale and Level 5 Security Group, has joined the Broward Workshop, a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan business organization, as a member of the board of directors. Broward Workshop comprises chief decision-makers from 100 of Broward County‘s major businesses and professions and was founded in 1981 to facilitate positive solutions to the county’s issues.
