FIRST TEAM
Taylor Blackshear, SG/PG, Benjamin senior: Four-year varsity member surpassed 1,000 points, defeated a big out-of-state team during Christmas tournament, and defeated crosstown rival Cardinal Newman; also runs track and field; averaged 20 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5 assists, 8 steals, 0.2 blocks per game.
Checorey Bouie, PF/SF, Cardinal Newman senior: Averaged 13.2 points and 10 rebounds per game; most proud of going far this season despite facing adversity; career highlight was pulling down 22 rebounds in a single game.
Alanna Fabrini, CG, Somerset Canyons eighth grader: First-year varsity member averaged 15 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.2; selected to play in the Best of Palm Beach Games; scored 27 points in regional quarterfinal game to help team advance; said getting people to fall for her Hesi move (hesitation move) is her career highlight.
Ashley Hendricks, C/PF, Berean Christian junior: Team captain averaged a double-double with 14.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks per game; also plays volleyball and tennis; interested in Liberty University.
Jade Jones, SF/SG, King’s Academy sophomore: Averaged 12.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 0.7 blocks per game; topped 1,000 points and said she is most proud of reaching the state final four for a second straight year.
Jordan Race, SG/SF, King’s Academy senior: Scored the game-winning basket against Westminster Academy; also played volleyball; averaged 10 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 3 steals per game; proud of reaching final 4 again.
Emma Smith, G/F, Saint Andrew’s sophomore: Two-year varsity starter led the Scots (13-9) in scoring this season with 15 points per game; had career-high 31 points against Calvary Christian; also averaged 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2 assists, and 0.7 blocks per game.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Anthony McCutcheon, Somerset Canyons: Guided the team to an 18-8 record and the regional semifinals with four middle schoolers playing the majority of the minutes. “Being such a young team starting a seventh, two eighth graders, a freshman, and a sophomore, no one thought we could make the splash we did this year. But we expected it and made everyone in the county believers.”
