The PUBG Continental Series is over for 2021, with PCS5 Americas seeing Oath continue their late-season run to win the overall title. However, there was more on the line than prize money, with six teams qualifying for the PUBG Global Championship.

The PGI.S champions Soniqs have been felled. Sure, they already lost to Oath in ESL Masters, but the rising star squad has made it two-from-two with a PCS5 title under their belt.

It secures their place at PGC in South Korea in November, alongside five other squads.

The Soniqs, TSM, Dignitas, FIUMBA, and Spacestation Gaming will be on the flight, with squads like Dodge and Guadalajara Gascans barely missing out.

PUBG Continental Series 5: Americas format & prize pool

Thirty-six matches will be played across six days of tournament play, with match and series winners decided by the ‘Most Chicken’ rule. This rule means that the winner of the match is the team who wins the Chicken Dinner.

Similarly, the winning team of the series will be determined by the number of Chicken Dinners won. The overall winner is the team with the most prize money earned across the three weeks.
