Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, an upcoming new mobile game by Square Enix, will feature character creation.

Kingdom Hearts series director, Tetsuya Nomura confirmed this during an interview with Famitsu recently.

Nomura said the character we see in the game’s reveal trailer will be a character we create ourselves, similar to how it was in Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, another mobile game that was released in 2015.

The new mobile game was announced during the Kingdom Hearts 20thAnniversary livestream last week, alongside the announcement of the highly-anticipated fourth mainline game in the series, Kingdom Hearts 4.

It will be an action game with a combat system that looks familiar to the ones found in the mainline games such as Kingdom Hearts.

The game will have an original story that takes place in Scala Ad Caelum, a busy city where players are able to explore. Nomura also said the game was originally going to be filled with Disney-related content, however, he felt that it was simply too much and decided to scale it down.

The game’s release date has not been announced but since it is still in development, don’t expect it to come anytime soon.
