Some things never change, said Flora Barnett, president of the Meadows of Miramar Phase I Homeowners Association.
“Unfortunately, some people here continue to break the rules,” Barnett said. “They continue to illegally park, paint their house a different color, fail to get approval for construction. I hope things start changing around here next year.”
Barnett said the board will continue to enforce the rules and try to keep the community looking neat.
“It’s an ongoing battle,” she said.
The group has not scheduled a meeting for January.
HOLLYWOOD
Just one month after participating in the celebration marking the city’s 75th anniversary, the Driftwood Civic Association again will pay tribute to Hollywood’s heyday.
The meeting scheduled for Jan. 8 will feature a slide presentation on the history of Hollywood, by membership chairwoman Pat Smith. The longtime Hollywood resident also is a board member of the Hollywood Historical Society.
