Matt Barrie Career
Barrie began his career at WJFW-TV in Wausau in 2001 where he was the station’s primary Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers reporter. In 2003 he joined KSWO-TV in Lawton, Okla as sports host/reporter where he provided live coverage from the 2003 and 2004 Big 12 championship and BCS National Championship games.
He joined WLTX-TV in 2005 as sports anchor/reporter, he anchored Friday-Monday sportscasts, hosted the weekly Saturday Night Blitz and Gamecock Extra college football shows, and provided live coverage from the Independence Bowl (2005) and Liberty Bowl (2006). He also
co-hosted the Matt and Tim Show on 1400-AM.
In 2008 he joined KXAS, NBC5 in Dallas as an anchor/reporter where he hosted weekend sportscasts, including Sunday’s Out of Bounds. He also anchored live coverage of the Cowboys, Rangers and Mavericks.
