“I can wholeheartedly say that through a lot of my career, I know that I’ve been afraid,” she added. “And that’s a vulnerable moment for me to even be honest with you and express, but yeah, just leaning into it and doing it anyway and knowing that God has a plan and it’s all going to work for my good.”

In 2022, Normani claimed that her new album would be worth the wait. She told Bustle, “I had a lot of artist development, which I feel like people don’t take seriously. They throw artists on stage completely unprepared.”

“And for me, that mentality was very important. Now, I’ve also been very critical on myself. So I think it’s been a combination of things, but it’s definitely going to be worth the wait,” she added.
