Florida forward Naomi Mobley was arrested Monday night for domestic battery of her ex-girlfriend and released Tuesday on bail.

An Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrest report said Mobley had an argument at her off-campus apartment about a laptop computer and punched the victim, also a UF student, in the face.

The report indicated there were red marks on the right side of the victim’s face, as well as bruises on her left arm.

The woman told police she was pushed to the ground and shoved into a wall.

Under the conditions of Mobley’s release, she can have no contact with the woman.

Mobley, whose status with the team is unknown, will wait to see whether the State Attorney’s office will file charges. In a statement, UF officials said the Student Judicial Affairs board and the University Athletic Association would review the case.

Mobley, a 6-foot-2 junior from Jacksonville, led the Southeastern Conference in rebounding for the second season in a row.

She averaged 9.9 rebounds this season after pulling down 9.1 last season; she also averaged 11.0 points this season.

She was suspended from two exhibitions for violating unspecified team rules.
