JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Aktris Kim So Yeon mengungkapkan perasaanya bisa bergabung ke jajaran pemeran season 2 drama Korea Tale of The Nine Tailed 1938.
Ia mengaku merupakan penggemar season 1 drama ini yang tayang pada 2020.
"Saya selalu menonton dan fans berat season 1. Ketika saya tahu season 2 sedang dalam pengerjaan saya sangat tertarik," kata Kim So Yeon saat wawancara roundtable virtual yang diikuti Kompas.com belum lama ini.
"Saat mendapat tawaran ini saya sangat antusias dan senang bisa bergabung. Sejak lama saya memang mau bermain drama fantasi dan bekerja bersama Lee Dong Wook dan Kim Bum, jadi saya sangat bahagia bergabung dengan mereka," lanjut Kim So Yeon.
Karena sudah mendengar dan melihat chemistry luar biasa antara Lee Dong Wook dan Kim Bum di season sebelumnya, Kim So Yeon mengaku tidak punya kekhawatiran pada segi membangun chemistry.
Untuk mempersiapkan syuting season 2 sebagai tokoh Ryu Hong Joo, Kim So Yeon melakukan beberapa persiapan.
"Saya berolahraga keras untuk membentuk tubuh saya dalam kondisi yang baik. Saya juga mempelajari dan menginvestigasi latar waktu cerita," ujarnya.
Tale of The Nine Tailed 1938 tayang mulai 6 Mei 2023. Dapat disaksikan melalui stasiun televisi tvN dan platform streaming Prime Video.
Season 2 ini berkisah seputar gumiho (rubah ekor sembilan mistis) laki-laki, bernama Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) yang harus kembali ke era kekacauan tahun 1938.
Ia lalu bertemu dengan Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon) yang merupakan roh penjaga gunung di barat.
Kim Bum pemeran Lee Rang adik Lee Yeon masih akan tampil di season 2, sementara Jo Bo Ah tidak bermain di sini.
Adapun pemeran yang bertambah selain Kim So Yeon adalah Ryu Kyung Soo.
