Doug Fernandez is a prominent American journalist and anchor currently working for Action 7 News KAOT as an anchor and reporter.  In August 2002, Doug joined the Action 7 News team in New Mexico. Before Action 7 News KOAT, Fernandez served at KCAL-TV in Los Angeles as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

Previously, Doug served at stations in Fresno Calif., Dallas, Anniston Ala., Shreveport, La., and Jackson Tenn. Throughout his career in broadcast journalism, He has covered various stories for Action 7 News. Fernandez was the only New Mexico TV anchor to provide live coverage Democratic National Conventions of 2004 and 2008.
