Joel "deadmau5" Zimmerman, the widely acclaimed electronic music producer and musician recorded a live stream of himself getting a PUBG themed tattoo on his hand. The tattoo itself is of the much-beloved frying pan with "Esports Ready" written above it.
Deadmau5 is a known and avid gamer, and regularly streams matches of PUBG. The tattoo he got is of the beloved frying pan melee weapon with "Esports Ready" written above it on his hand. This is a reference to a community joke about how PUBG was "Esports Ready" in spite of a myriad of bugs and glitches.
PUBG Corp. has been making a concentrated push into legitimizing PUBG as an esport. Their flagship tournament, the PUBG Global Invitational Open, an incredibly ambitious event with a $2,000,000 prize pool on the line for the two victorious teams. The European Qualifiers are already underway, with the North American Qualifiers set to begin on May 22.
