David began calling boxing fights for USA Metro Boxing and the New York Golden Gloves in New York City. David’s first battle took place in the basement of Lower Manhattan’s Church Street Boxing Gym. For many years, he participated in the New York boxing scene, announcing fights for USA Boxing Metro and the New York Golden Gloves. David has since announcedseveralf events on HBO, Showtime, ESPN, DAZN, Fox Sports, NBC, CBS, and Sky Sports.
David signed an exclusive contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in 2018, with broadcasts on DAZN and Sky Sports. During the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as the official announcer for Matchroom Boxing’s Fight Camp series, It took place in the back garden of Eddie Hearn’s childhood home and Matchroom Boxing’s UK headquarters.
David was crippled by a terrifying motorcycle accident in December 2021.
