Darolyn Alejandra Reyes Rodas Obituary – Car Accident: 19-year-old killed in Richmond San Rafael Bridge car accident.

Darolyn Alejandra Reyes Rodas, 19, of San Rafael, was identified as the deceased victim of Sunday’s collision on the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, according to the Marin County Coroner’s Division.

Just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, Reyes Rodas was a passenger in a silver Honda sedan that was headed westbound on I-580 at midspan on the bridge when it collided with a white Mazda SUV that was also heading west, according to the California Highway Patrol.

In order to preserve evidence and carry out a comprehensive investigation, CHP officers responded and closed the freeway for a number of hours.

Fire department workers declared Reyes Rodas deceased at the site.

The driver of the Honda was brought to a hospital to receive treatment for severe injuries. There were no injuries to anybody inside the Mazada.

According to the authorities, the Honda hit the back of the Mazda and continued to roll several times before coming to a stop on its roof inside the road.

Although the CHP stated on Monday that impairment was not a role in the incident, they were still investigating the cause.

The coroner’s office reports that the Mazda was moving at a slower pace when it was struck by the Honda, which was reportedly speeding on the bridge and changing lanes.

Reyes Rodas was discovered unconscious and lifeless in the vehicle after suffering numerous serious injuries. Before first responders arrived, bystanders stopped, took Rodas out of the car, and started CPR.

Soon after 8 p.m., paramedics arrived, saw vital signs, and pronounced Rodas dead.
