Miami Dolphins fans, rejoice.

Dolphins coach Brian Flores says he is a fan of the team’s beloved throwback uniforms compared to their current uniforms.

Flores — who insists he’s “not a big fashion guy” — certainly was not trying to reignite a heated Dolphins jersey conversation when he entertained the question of his preference Thursday.

But the throwback jerseys will appeal to him, Dolphins fans and NFL fans around the country when the team wears them for the first time this season in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“I know there are people who love the old uniforms. Old uniforms, new uniforms, I like to coach. I don’t care what we’re wearing,” Flores said.

“If you want me to vote, I’ll vote for the old uniforms — you want me to cast a vote. If I had to choose the old or the new, I’d go with the old.”

Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel brought the throwback jerseys, which pay homage to Dolphins teams in the 1960s and 1970s, back in rotation during the 2015 season.

And whenever the Dolphins do wear their throwback uniforms, it often sparks the debate between Dolphins fans and longtime NFL fans who prefer the throwback jerseys compared to the team’s current outfit.

Garfinkel, during a radio interview in May 2020, said the state of the Dolphins uniforms and a potential switch are a “complicated issue,” which involves the NFL and jersey manufactures among other factors.

“Certainly, the fans love it, the players love it. I love it. But the new uniforms are a modern look, too, which people a lot of people like as well,” Garfinkel said on “The Big O Show.”

“We love wearing the throwbacks. We’ll continue to wear them and honor the past. They’re special and we try to save them for special games and we use them that way.”

Garfinkel says he hears the fans’ desire to keep the Dolphins’ throwbacks permanent.

“I listen to the fans. I hear the fans. I think we try to be more responsive the fans. I know this is a complicated issue … The uniforms are what they are, and we’ll continue to wear the throwbacks to honor the past in special games,” Garfinkel said.

“No question, I love those uniforms, too. I brought them back.”

The Dolphins will wear throwback jerseys at least two more times after wearing the white throwbacks Sunday against the Chargers:

They’ll wear their aqua throwbacks at home on Dec. 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs and Dec. 20 against the New England Patriots.

One would think Flores, who was the Patriots’ defensive playcaller in 2018 during the Dolphins’ Miami Miracle win while wearing the aqua throwbacks, wouldn’t be a fan.

But he doubled down on his jersey affection after his video news conference ended Thursday.

“I like the old uniforms,” Flores said.
