After helping us shake a leg to the jazzy swing of the French Horn, the vivacious salsa of Conjunto Impacto and the barn-dance beats of Cornbread, the Rhythm Foundation’s second-Thursday Dance Band Nights is bringing us an evening of Haitian bolero and konpa. Led by Miami-based singer and guitarist Jean Levelt Vital, once of the popular Haitian group Bel Jazz, Aroze Twoubadou interprets the French Caribbean nation’s folk-music traditions with an irresistibly personable warmth. Get there early to learn the moves when members of Konpa Artistic Dance Studios offer dance lessons at 7 p.m.
When: 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13
Where: North Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
