4 Rivers Smokehouse
2660 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, 844-474-8377, 4RSmokehouse.com
Fans of this 7-year-old barbecue chain, based in Winter Park, don’t have to visit Orlando anymore to get their fix for brisket and fixings.
South Florida finally has its own.
“Coral Springs was a strategic entry point into South Florida, as it’s a gateway to both Lauderdale and Miami,” owner John Rivers says. “The interior design has evolved from traditional rustic to a more modern smokehouse feel. The smokehouse brick is white, instead of the quintessential red, and is complemented by rich woods, hand-painted designs and location-specific historic photos that are stretched on canvas.”
The fast-casual eatery takes a cross-regional approach with 18-hour smoked Angus brisket ($8.25), pulled pork or chicken ($6.25-$6.49), burnt ends ($7.75), tri-tip ($12.49) and Brontosaurus Beef Rib ($23.49). Sandwiches include the Smokehouse Cuban and Messy Pig (both $8.49).
Chipotle aioli finishes the quesadilla filled with veggies and baked cheese grits ($6.49) and smoked portobello with caramelized onions and provolone ($7.99) – two of the five vegetarian options under the new “From the Farm” section. Smoked jalapeños are one of 16 sides ($2.29).
Sweet endings include fried Oreos ($2.49) and Banana Dream Pudding ($2.79).
Lunch and dinner are served daily, except Sundays.
