Sherman Lofton Obituary, Death Cause – My Alpha brother, a graduate of Morris Brown University, and a former student of mine who is now a respected educator and administrator in the Atlanta region. My thoughts and prayers are with Brother Sherman Lofton and every member of his family during this difficult time. His family broke the news to everyone over the weekend that Dr. Sherman Lofton, Sr. had passed away. They did so with heavy hearts since they had just recently lost someone close to them.
As a dad, spouse, friend, teacher, athlete, mentor, parishioner, and inspiration, he was held in high esteem by all who knew him in those capacities. He was even greater than all of these things together. His mission in life was to inspire younger people, both in their academic endeavors and in other parts of their lives, to pursue greatness and set the bar high for themselves. He had a deep respect for both life and learning. I would want to take this opportunity to convey my appreciation to each and every one of my friends on Facebook for the never-ending love and support they have shown me over the years.
