Miss Fort Lauderdale, Sable Jade Robbert, is the winner of the 20th annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant, leading a field of 80 contestants for the $30,000 prize at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Robbert, a Pembroke Pines resident who grew up in Cooper City, will serve as a brand ambassador and spokeswoman for the restaurant chain, appear in national advertisements and travel to special events and international openings.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet that I’m being given the honor of serving as brand ambassador for Hooters,” Robbert said in a statement after the pageant on Wednesday night. “I’m ecstatic to have so many exciting opportunities with Hooters on the horizon, and to join a select group of women who’ve served as the face of the iconic brand before me.”

Amberly Hall, who works at the Fort Lauderdale beach restaurant but competed as Miss Miami, was among the 10 finalists in the pageant. Other Florida contestants were Sofia Bevarly (Miss Southwest Florida) and Amanda Shapiro (Miss Cape Coral).

Robbert has been with Hooters for more than five years, and works in the Pembroke Pines restaurant.

This is the third time that Robbert has competed in the Hooters swimsuit pageant. She finished fifth in 2014, winning the inaugural Miss Please and Thank You Award. She also finished in the top 10 last year.
