The village of Royal Palm Beach will conduct a public meeting Tuesday to discuss capital improvements for Commons Park, according to a notice of public input on the village’s website.
“The sole purpose of this meeting will be to discuss a $250,000 application for a [Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program] Grant to help finance construction of the children’s playground facilities at the park,” the notice reads.
FRDAP Program Grants are offered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and can be offered to counties and other municipalities.
“This competitive, reimbursement grant program provides financial assistance for acquisition or development of land for public outdoor recreation,” according to the FDEP’s website for the grant.
