Cyberpunk 2077 Overheat: How to Use it Efficiently

What is Overheat?

Overheat is a type of damage that players can take in-game that comes as a result of an enemy hacking into a netrunner's cybernetics. This ability, which will cause damage over time, can be particularly troubling to deal with when you are in a fight with multiple enemies as you most likely won't know who it is that is trying to hack you. Not to worry though as we have a quickfire solution for how to deal with this problem.

How to Deal With It?

The easiest way to deal with this is to eliminate the forerunner that is using Overheat on you, as that will stop it from causing you more damage. However, the issue with that approach is that probably won't be able to tell who it is right off the bat. Unless of course, you utilize the Intelligence Perk known as I Spy, which you can find under the Quickhacking tab. This perk will allow you to instantly identify who it is that is trying to hack you, allowing you to eliminate them and stop the effects promptly.

Another way that you can deal with the issue, especially if you don't know who it is that is targeting you is to simply hide from the enemies, as the hacking abilities can work on a player if that enemy has a direct line of sight to you.

And there you have it, the simplest ways in which you can deal with Overheat in Cyberpunk 2077.
