Elektra Kilbey Career
Elektra Kilbey began her singing career with her twin sister, Miranda; they were just teenagers when they uploaded their first song on SoundCloud in May 2012, and within a week, they had a record deal; the single, “Maybe You,” received enormous love and fame, and this launched them into the industry rather quickly.
A year later, the duo established their own record label, à Deux, and launched their band, “Say Lou Lou,” formerly known as Saint Lou Lou; they specialize in the genre Dream pop, a subgenre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia, and their band was named to the BBC Sound of 2014 longlist.
In three years, the band released five singles, debuted with a studio album called “Lucid Dreaming,” and by 2018, the duet had released their second album, “Immortelle.”
Her acting career began in 2000, with a small role in a comedy/drama, “Gossip,” in which her sister also appeared; she left acting and returned nine years later, with a short video, “Joywave -Obsession,” as an Exotic Dancer, and she has some notable music videos, such as “Golden Child,” and “Immortelle.”
Aside from her songs, she has appeared in an Amazon Prime series, “Tales from the Loop,” where she had a brief but significant role as Alma; she has also appeared in two movies, “Staying,”and “Odd Man Rush.”
