Death Stranding Mama: Who is Mama?
*SPOILER WARNING*
Mama, real name Malingen, is a main character in Death Stranding. She is affiliated with Bridges and is the twin sister of Lockne.
Her story is rather sad and is slowly uncovered during the game. If you don't want things spoiled. You should stop reading. Mama and her twin sister Lockne were unable to bear children for two different reasons. Mama was unable to fertilize and Lockne's uterus was incapable of carrying a child. Eventually, Lockne fell in love, but that person died. Lockne went into a depression and Mama proposed they "have a baby" by using the deceased's sperm, Lockne's eggs, and Mama's uterus. Yep. Weird.
Eventually, Mama is crushed and delivers the baby at the same time tying her soul to laboratory. So she is technically a spirit haunting the halls unable to leave.
The story is a bit more complicated, but you have to experience it to fully understand it.
