Feeling crafty? The Mae Volen Senior Center wants to know what kind of craft classes interest local seniors.
The center will be offering lessons soon in its new arts and crafts pavilion at the center, 1515 W. Palmetto Park Road. Classes will be $5 per session, plus supplies, and open to all ages.

Annual family picnic set at Boat Club Park
Residents can gather for a daylong picnic at a park in Boynton Beach in August.
The annual “Family Day Picnic in the Park” event will begin at noon Aug. 16 at Boat Club Park, U.S. 1 and Northeast 21st Avenue, near the Intracoastal Waterway.
The event will include activities for children, as well as contests and entertainment.

State attorney looking for volunteers to help
The office of the state attorney for Palm Beach County is looking for a few good men _ and women.
Attorneys in the north- and south-county offices need volunteers to work as receptionists and clerks, and to do general office-type work.
