Call of Duty Cold War is crashing on PS4 for many people. If you’re playing the newest Call of Duty on the PS4 then chances are that you’ve encountered this once or twice. It seems that going into certain menus can cause your game to crash.
Activision has acknowledged that there are a number of known problems in each version of the game and are working on solutions for these crashes and bugs. A heartbreaking crash came from FazeBlaze, who played 164 rounds of Zombies, only to have the game crash on him. Until a patch comes out to fix these crashes, there are a few things you can do to lower the likelihood of your game getting ruined.
After 5 Days and 47 hours our Zombies game crashed at round 164.. Shoutout to everyone who supported us along this insane journey! Some of the best streams I’ve ever had ??

Call of Duty Cold War Crashing PS4: How to Fix
First up is to try not to look at progression menus. Unless it is absolutely essential for you to do so, avoid the prestige menu, avoid the challenges menu, and avoid player customization (except for loadouts). All of these areas seem to be causing crashes more than anything else. Luckily playing the game does not seem to lead to many crashes, but if you’re playing the game and it crashes there is not much you can do about it.
You’ll want to take the tips to heart and avoid menus that could crash your game. Crashing could potentially lead to long term damage in your PS4, and even more crashes in the future. Until a fix is released, play it safe.
