Ayanna Hawkins Obituary, Death  –  Her time in the Navy was split between the Navy and the Coast Guard. Despite the extensive list of professional accomplishments she had, the fact that she was always there for the people she cared about was the one thing that stood out the most to her family as the accomplishment that meant the most to them. Her two children’s births and her subsequent role as a mother brought her the most happiness and satisfaction of her life. Throughout her entire life, she accorded her relationship with both her sister and her mother the same level of priority as she did the one she shared with her mother.

She was beloved at CHRIS 180 not only because of the commitment she demonstrated to her work, but also because of her personality; she had an incredible ability to read a crowd, and her laugh was infectious. Both of these characteristics have contributed, at least in part, to her immense popularity. It is impossible to forget the impression that Ayanna had on everyone around her, both in her position as a coworker and as a person who possessed high standards of ethics, devotion, and responsibility. This is true whether you knew Ayanna as a coworker or just as someone who possessed these qualities.

This week, all of us at CHRIS 180 are remembering the life of one of our most treasured coworkers, Ayanna Hawkins, MBA, who lost her valiant battle with cancer early on Wednesday morning. Ayanna fought the disease for several years and was an inspiration to all of us. Ayanna has been a part of our extended family for the past 11 years, and she currently manages the payroll for the Human Resources staff here at the company. In addition to that, she has prior experience working on the team responsible for the finances. Ayanna was a proud veteran who had served in the United States Navy for a combined total of eight years.
